Adrian Henry

Adrian Henry has 18 years of experience in the concrete polishing business. As the training director for the Cement Masons of the Northwest and other areas, he teaches contractors to convert plain concrete into living works of art. He takes pride in helping contractors choose the best equipment and materials for the job. Since 2010, he has been teaching polishing classes at the now biennial Concrete Decor Show.

Adrian graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1995 with a bachelor’s degree in social sciences. After two years of being enrolled, he joined Alpha Phi Alpha and was a member of its Rho Gamma Chapter.

In 2011, he won a Concrete Surfaces Polishing Award in the New Industrial category at the International Concrete Polishing and Staining Conference for his involvement in the Solyndra Fab 2 project. In 2012, Adrian was honored as an Artisan in Concrete in Concrete Decor magazine, and in 2013 he took home Concrete Construction’s Best Polished Concrete for Industrial Floors award.

Currently, Adrian is general manager of the concrete polishing and epoxy division at NEx Systems, an environment technology company that specializes in LEED-sourced interior and exterior surface restoration and performance coating projects for commercial office buildings. In the past three years, the company has grown by 50% annually. He and his team have completed more than 50 projects valued at $8 million.

Prior to joining NEx, he was senior vice president for Diacon where he was responsible for floor installations in a vast array of high-end projects.

Henry’s philosophy about his passion for being an artisan in concrete is “if you continue to do the same thing day in, day out, you are bound to get nothing but better.”
